Holy homecoming!!! What a fantastic experience to arrive home to tonight. A garage packed full of intensity and energy! So incredibly psyched to be back with all of you. Huge thanks to Coach Paul Elia for keeping things going for all of us while we were away. Tomorrow's WOD is another incredibly challenging, yet simple mix of strength and power. Good to be back...

Wow! todays WOD was challenging, it's amazing that only two different excersises are used for this WOD and it works you to the max!!! Meghan I was so glad you were there, you did an awesome job...it's funny to think that after we were done, we were worked, felt a little nauses and yet we were saying we should have done more, go figure.
Rude WOD!!! Complete breakdown on the fourth round. Wound up with 100 pull ups and 42 thrusters at 2/3 bodyweight, giving up after the fourth. Congratulations to Julie Bodine from down south on her first pull up ever this morning at 9 am!
Good to be under the scrutinizing gaze of Colin, again. Elbows up, chest up, there is more in there...Great workout. Those thrusters are relentless. How is it that in such a short period of time, like between #11 and #12, that it can feel like all the O2 has fled from my body and response goes down to like 30%? My hamstrings were definately turned on and being used; I know because they are very apparent to me right now.
Maybe I don't want to gain any more weight.... 2/3 body weight for those thrusters was tough. The ol' kipping pull up felt all out of control today too. Max of anything really makes you dig deep. Thankfully my arms did the talking and not the brain in the end. When those elbows will not extend at the top of a thruster, there's only one place to go. Down.
I had a fucking blast tonight.
Thanks for helping me get my first pull-ups every! Woo-hoo - what a GREAT CrossFit coach!
